Former cinematographer Lajos Koltai stunned the Berlin Film Festival with this Second World War drama based on the 1975 Nobel Prize winning novel by Imre Kertesz, a semi-autobiographical work about his experience as a 14-year-old deported to the concentration camps from Budapest.
