蘇凱是個地處東歐邊緣的小鎮，但這可不是個平凡地方，鎮上充滿各式身懷絕技的風雲人物，是個不折不扣的冠軍小鎮：有土耳其音樂專家、民謠歌王、拳擊少年……。不論男女老少，為了爭奪這些頭銜，可是只看結果不論過程，卯足全力爭吵不休。且礙於小鎮規定，為了保住自己的冠軍盃，眾人只能堅守家鄉。本片風格宛如費里尼加上庫斯杜立卡，不但拍出小鎮旺盛的生活熱力，也捕捉了吉普賽鎮民樂天知命的生命哲學。

The inhabitants of Shutka all share one common passion: to be champion. Shutka thrives on achieving records in songfests, goose fights, and vampire hunts, in wearing Sunday best, collecting Turkish music or exterminating evil genies. Through a number of intertwining stories, this playful, humorous film takes us into a world that is generally closed to outsiders.
