Do Over World Premiere

Do Over was well received in its world premiere on 25 June evening at Chungshan Hall. This piece is the only Taiwanese production in International New Talents Award and showcases the performance of up-and-coming actors and actresses. Director Cheng Yu-Chieh has a bunch of hardcore fans since his short Summer Dream and Do Over was naturally much anticipated – not only by the fans but also the cast who only had the chance to see the final cut of the film in Chungshan Hall.

It is a rather complicated story comprising 5 stories spanning over a new year’s eve. Cheng used NTD16 million to shoot and the biggest challenge in this film came not from finance but how to shape each character with characteristics. He has had actually facets of his own personality projected on the characters.

The cast also appeared in the screening and unanimously appealed to the audience to support local productions. Regarding the New Talent Award, despite Cheng is aware that he is in a fierce competition, he is still confident to be named the winner.
